"A coffee shop with 3 popular stalls, this chicken rice place is gaining in popularity now. Serving a firm and tasty kampung chicken variety, you will note that the chicken has a distinctly yellow skin. The meat is firm and the taste is more flavourful compared to normal broiler chicken. This is Highly Recommended. Separate Chilli and Ginger sauces are provided. The Ginger sauce is quite good so do ask for an extra serving if you like a nice zingy ginger flavour with your chicken. The Siew Yoke/Roast Pork is very good too. It comes with a crispy skin with moist flesh with the right amount of seasoning. This is Recommended."

"The speciality here is “马草鸡” (mǎ cǎo jī) which literally translates to “horse grass chicken” in Chinese. It refers to a free-range chicken that is fed natural forage like grass and insects. The chicken skin is yellow & the texture is firmer, more “chewy”due to muscle development. Less fat overall, you can taste the flavour of the meat with each bite. The chicken liver is also done just right. Really yummy when accompanied by their homemade ginger & scallion in oil. Go early as it sells out fast. We also ordered ‘chee yoke fun’ from one of the other stalls in the coffee shop. In it, you will find pieces of thick kidney & liver, sliced pork, springy pork balls etc. All good."
